On Monday, I had a rare opportunity to photograph a family with not one newborn, not two, but three! Yep, my first ever triplets. It was an absolute blast, and I can not wait to share those images with you. I also realized I have been blessed to meet quite a few sets of twins in the past few months, but none of them were local to the Triangle. Where are all those beautiful twins and triplets of Raleigh, Cary, Durham and other surrounding cities? People must be having them, right?

So I am on a mission – a mission to find twins and triplets of the Triangle. Therefore, I am announcing a Multiple Newborns Special. If you are due with twins or triplets (or quadruplets or even more babies at the same time ), your entire session fee will be credited towards your purchase of prints and products. Plus, every family will receive a special gift from me to decorate their walls – you will love it, I guarantee it.

While I am vacationing across the world with my family, I left series of blog posts for you all to enjoy.

Most of my clients know about my Lithuanian origin. I meet a lot of people with parents, grandparents or great grandparents from Lithuania. Who knew the nation with barely over 3million people in the country is so wildly popular Like the dealership guy who brings my car out after getting it serviced – even his last name is Lithuanian! Or that Miami “Heat” player whose first and last name is unpronounceable to most – Zydrunas Ilgauskas. So when mommy to those beautiful twins asked me about my heritage, she was stoked to hear the answer. Wonder why? Because her grandparents were from Lithuania too! So technically those two precious babies are part Lithuanian, right?

It was one of the most fun sessions ever, and one of the most beautiful too! Hugs to my dear friend Julie

a change is good

It’s May with flowers blooming, and outdoor sessions being in full swing… Even the tiniest newborns get a shot or two outdoors – such a fun part of the session, I have been longing for outdoors all winter long! I am continuing to book sessions for May and June with lots and lots babies to be born, so exciting! July and August are very limited at this time. If we spoke about your date during those months, but your have yet to book, don’t panic, you are good And at this time I already started booking September and October as well. If you did not get to see, summer beach session dates have been finalized. I will be in Outerbanks area June 10th through 16th and Topsail Island September 2nd through 5th (Labor Day weekend). If you are interested in a beach session please contact me as those dates have very limited availability.

And now about the change. Good change! Most of my clients round up their orders with digital negatives – some clients make their own picture books, some print pictures for all their cousins, aunts and uncles, some just want to tuck it away into a safety deposit box. It always makes me giddy to think about being a part of the family’s history. And I thank you all for this honor.
And a recent change – with a purchase of any print collection, you receive complimentary watermarked web-sized digital negatives. They are not suitable for printing, but perfect for sharing on your personal blog, facebook, email, digital frames, screen savers on your computer. Just ask with your order!

It’s good to be back | Raleigh Newborn Photographer

Any time I have a trip planned, I always count my days to it. This trip was no exception – eleven days left, ten days left……… two days, one…. I was going to Las Vegas to photograph a stunning mom to be – I was looking forward to that more than anything else on this trip! We captured so many gorgeous images – some were planned, some were more spontaneous. But every single one of them is just breathtaking. Will share them soon.
I was also excited for professional photographers convention – meet some photography friends, find out what new products are popular, just keep myself fresh and up to date in photography industry. I find it really important to stay ahead, and keep myself motivated.
I was also super excited about 4 days of teaching newborn posing workshop – I never thought of myself as a teacher, I always felt I did not have that inner power to explain, help people to understand and improve. But I absolutely had a blast – in fact, teaching can get kind of addictive! My dear friend&partner in all kinds of crime Julie and I had lined up more than 20 newborns, all due at the end of February. We only needed 6 models, and having three times more potential babies is a good idea – some were born weeks early, some are still not born. When planning involves newborns, it’s impossible to predict. 2 girls, 4 boys, some well defined moms and dads – it was a blast all around.

I am trying to catch up on orders, deliveries, emails and phone calls. Giving my best to my clients.

This beautiful duo was the last session of 2010, captured on Christmas Eve with Julie. When there are two newborns, we need two photogrpahers to handle them, right?

Born early, babies spent a few weeks in NICU. But now all healthy, strong and happy back home with mom and dad. I absolutely enjoy watching twins and their silent communication. As soon as they feel each other near by, they relax, calm down, settle in..pureness!

Not a secret, I love newborns. I adore their freshness, pureness, innocence. I love watching their jerky moves and fragile bodies to curl back into fetus position. They just melt my heart. I also enjoy watching brand new parents who are absolutely smitten by this new life they’ve created together. It’s an amazing feeling to be invited into families at their most private and special moments.

I also love to team up with another great photographer and let the team work push us further, higher. It is always fun to have an extra set of hands and a mind that knows what I am about to say or do without me even saying it out loud. All the greatest newborn photographers work in teams, not that I am comparing Julie and I to any of them. But I definitely see the benefit of having a teammate. And as soon as we start thinking how newborns are getting easier for us to photograph, we get that ONE baby that tests our patience and push us to the limits. This time it was not one, but two that did it. Two beautiful baby boys, first set of twins on both side of the family and nobody knows how that happened. They were taking turns for sleeping, eating, crying, peeing.. But at the end, we had a wonderful session and images that parents will treasure forever.
