2012 is Leap year, everyone knows it. But this year is special to some people not just because of that extra day on the calendar. I know people who were born on February 29th and get a rare chance to celebrate the actual birthday. I actually gave birth to one of those people. Yes, my almost 8 year old son was born on February 29th. I remember my doctor saying “I wanted to catch a leap year baby..” I was not happy with his wish being granted

So, do you know anyone pregnant and due at the end of February? Are you pregnant? Are you feeling anxious about February 29th birth? Don’t be! It might be a great thing – in a spirit of being Leap year baby mom, I am donating one full newborn session with a set of digital negatives (value $1500) to a lucky baby born on February 29th, 2012. Please, send me an email with your name and due date at lina.jarmond@gmail.com. And if you deliver on February 29th, I will get to meet your growing family. Note: Only one free session will be donated at the discretion of the photographer; priority will be given to moms on my list.

But don’t get sad if your baby is not going to be born on February 29th. All booked newborn sessions with babies due in February and March will receive a complimentary six months session, just in time for those precious baby smiles. If you are pregnant, a maternity session is a fabulous way to remember how beautiful you looked. I know you may not think so now, but in a few years you will remember it as a blissful time. This family below have already welcomed their second son whom I met least week. Their maternity session was all about their growing, happy family. Don’t they look amazing?!

While we all are excited for a long weekend to kick of our summer and score some great sales, the main reason for this weekend is usually overlooked. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service. And it’s just happened that couple weeks ago I got meet this stunning mom to be with her solder. We joked that my only knowledge about military life is “Dear John” But I do know things are much different in real life.

So while remembering heroes who are no longer with us, lets enjoy a few images of this beautiful couple who sacrifice their daily lives for a brighter future for the rest of us.

So the news that our friends are expecting their second child made my husband and I very excited! With some complications along the way, today we get to hang out with a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Congratulations to the sweetest mom on earth, I am truly honored to call you a friend! You are kind, and honest, and funny, and I love you for all that.

And because the mom is slightly obsessed with all shades of purple, we carried the theme in the images.

I am very jealous of this session. Because Radhi brought her mom. And we captured them together – two and a half generations together It made me stop and think – how many pictures do I have with my mom? There is always an excuse. My hair is not looking good today, and she needs to get her roots colored. My outfit is not the best on me, and her make up is just so-so today. And I want to loose 10lbs before those pictures… List goes on and on. And I am so happy that Radhi and her mom did not worry about all those silly things. Because five years from now, well, maybe five months from now they will look at those pictures and think how radiant Radhi looked, and how happy soon-to-be grandma was.

We hit couple locations, and all the images will be in a beautiful photo album for Radhi to remember how gorgeous she looked while anticipating her first child.
