Beach, beach and more beach

I just had a fun week at Myrtle Beach with a bunch of beautiful families – weather was perfect for spring break and photos! If you think you will want your spring break next year to spend at Myrtle Beach, we can start planning now! Just email me at lina.jarmond@gmail.com and I will put you on the remainder list.

Summer 2011 beach sessions dates and locations details are finalized, and here they are:

June 10th through 16th at Outerbanks, NC
September 2 through 5th (Labor Day weekend) in Topsail Island, NC

I already have at least one booking for each location. If you want a session at the beach, please email me to reserve your time.

Meanwhile, here are a few images of my daughter. I recently re-did my bedroom, and I wanted some images with yellow in it for my walls (I know what you thinking… ) Just a dash of yellow as a stripey scarf made those shots exactly what I wanted. And Oreo cake as a form of payment to my model was so worth it!

When this family of three contacted me for a session, they still lived across a big pond in a sweet country of Belgium. I am sure they were happy to get back home, but as I learned during our session there were so many things they loved and already missed about living in Europe. Like walking to a grocery store. Or how couple hours drive to any direction puts you in a totally different country with new and exciting experiences. Or managing to live with less stuff because everything is smaller/more compact over there. All those shared stories were too familiar to me, and I miss Europe too

What is the biggest compliment (and cause of stress) for a photographer? To photograph a fellow photographer’s family. Talk about pressure to perform!

Jen is a fabulous photographer out of Maryland. When she vacationed in North Carolina, I photographed her last-portraits-of-family-of-three (get it? soon to be family of four!)

Little Kaylee was so good and trained really well (it’s also known as photographer’s child syndrome ). But when she was done, she let us all know – she just laid on the sand and pretended to go to sleep.

I took those pictures on my educational trip to Philadelphia/NJ back in June. My beautiful friend Melissa agreed to be one of the models for our morning beach session (I was more interested in catching up with my friend than actually photographing). Last time I saw her, she was a mother of one. Look at this gorgeous family now! Amazing! I had so much fun seeing my friend.

What was up with the sand that you all kept looking at ?

Since we are on the east coast, beautiful beach sunsets are not at option, but early sunrises are! Not that it’s easy to wake up at 4.30am, but so worthy!

It was amazing to watch the rising sun to change the color of the sky, water, sand… This beautiful mom was such a trooper, thank you!

The rain last week was truly a blessing – I was able to catch up on so much office work, I feel back in the game. and finally work on the beach pictures. This daddy’s little girl was running all over the beach, it was so not easy to chase her in the sand.
